Crashes on startup… on an up-to-date MBP

Crashes on launch, even on a beefy MacBook Pro:

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB

Many of the latest games run smoothly and without issues, so there’s definitely an issue (or two) with this app.
